Default Re: ST Renewal

Been struggling to afford ST since retiring. Could have just about stretched to a çonsession ticket, and would have bought one, but I see they have increased the qualifying age yet again. So I will not be renewing this year and will probably pay on the gate from now on. Don't get to see very many games these days so will save me quite a lot over the season.

Over 64 was the concession age for last seasons season ticket too

It should be over 65 or whatever the state pension age is.

Also this is generally something called for by people who have little appreciation of the set up costs and no appreciations of the horrendous cost in time and money pursuing a level of non-payment significantly higher than most people would estimate. Defaults can run as high as 40% or more.

There's little chance of recovery as a club which litigates against its own fans is in big trouble. Worse than that the person who defaults in season 1 almost certainly can't be legally restrained from buying and defaulting in season 2.

If we truly want a debt free club then we have to accept that such a scheme can never happen.
Why wouldn't then a 3 month payment plan starting say in March work? So £100 at the end of March, £100 at the end of April, £100 at the end of May. Whatever the difference above that when Season Ticket prices come out they pay at the end of June to clear the Balance. All payments is non-refundable. If they pay £200 or more but not the balance in time, they get a half season ticket. Low risk, high gain. Pay less than £200 before the end of May and you lose your cash and no season ticket.

I want to get ST's for myself and my two boys, 16 and 8 year olds. Do I really need to take their Birth Certificates with me?

Yes you do, just to prove their age for concessions. It's a one off because then details will be kept should you want to renew the season after.
I've been taking my grandson since 2008, took his birth certificate back then and haven't since.

Thanks for that, just moved house so will have to do a bit of searching.
Saved me a wasted trip without them.

Getting your customers to start paying for something when you haven't even set the price is doomed to failure. Then the idea of the club holding on to people's money if they can't pay an installment is a PR disaster.

If the club shop is open on Saturday then I'll renew my ST and my WST membership

That will be another 1 to the ST ticket total
