Carwyn Jones, would need a very good reason to encourage the Welsh Government to build a new stand for the biggest professional club in North Wales. Wales already has the Principality Stadium. Plus Cardiff and Swansea stadiums locateed close to the Capital city, so in their eyes a short sighted view would be why bother investing all that tax payers money in the North ?

The North / South divide has been there for years and years and years. All the best Welsh footballers bar Giggs, Bale and Ramsey have come from the North.

The people who Assett stripped our club, took away its principal assets for their own personal gain. By separating and selling off the ground and the training ground they have really damaged Wrexham Football Club. Our club only continues to exist with a trustworthy stakeholder (the fans who actually love he club) because of the formation of the Supporters Trust.

We are still feeling the effects of those damaging years and the empty Kop is both a symbol of that terrible dark period and also a symbol of hope that the community of fans can one day turn this around.

I do like surprises, but if Carwyn Jones actually fronts up as 1st minister and delivers a new stand as part of a strategic policy for North Wales together with the Wrexham Borough Council and the ground owner, Glyndwyr then I for one will be very, very happy to see that elephants really do fly.

Nice idea but not that straightforward. The big 150th anniversary flag took 2 of us 20 minutes every game to put up. Less time to take down obviously. What you suggest would take much longer. Couldn't leave flags on there as they would get destroyed

Maybe you could get the ball boys to do It? Must be 8/10 of them so it should be quicker.

A shame it's not up every match.

Labour have done feck all for the club, and according to most on here, very little for the town either

Wickes have a 3 for 2 offer on, we could demolish and build a new stand over the summer, then get some decorative bark make it look nice...

If you actively asked for volunteers on here to help put the flag up, you'd get them...

The cry out for volunteers is so vague, aside from the bucket collections I can't remember you guys asking for anything specific. I'd be willing to do something to help when I'm back in Wrexham but I have no idea what there is to do.

Has the land behind the kop been sold yet?

AS i understand it the land for sale goes right up to the back of the Kop terrace so includes the embankment behind the Kop. If anyone wanted to develop that land then they would have to remove the embankment, which they couldn't without making the Kop terrace and roof unstable. So to clear that land they would have to demolish the kop wouldn't they? Likewise if the club was to develop the kop they would have to remove the embankment - which could be very costly.

I think in a roundabout way i'm trying to say that any development of the Kop will be linked to any development of the land behind it.

Im sure access would be easy to solve from the turf car park ?

Not defending labour here but didn't Carwyn ask the club to put forward a plan for the Kop? On his last visit.
