![]() In the interview i did with him a few weeks back, he did say he would like to stay, but he also said the way the deal came about was he got "paid up" by carlisle and with what wrexham offered it made the deal work.
To me that indicates he was on a decent wage, also he still lives in york, so travel on top make it a big ask if he not getting a suppliment from another wage or lumpsum. All these factors will have played a part and as said previously there are clubs like Guiesley that are a lot closer for penn, who can pay decent money as shown with Rooney going there
