Exactly!!!! I like what Keates has done and that is why I admire the fact he has a value of what he believes a player is worth and sticks to it. I did say he has a massive task in the summer, but in my opinion unlike his predecessor will have already put in a lot of groundwork on researching players and will know what he wants.
Agree. Let's give DK time and the benefit of doubt. As you say, he has a difficult task ahead of him. Let's hope he's up to it. I personally think he is. Unfortunately, some folk overreact to these minor set-backs, and we therefore oscillate between ecstasy and despair. Or at least some do!

Disley would be good signing for a season. Ibrahimovic did ok at Man U this season and he's no youngster - and yes it is a different position etc but I think as long as surrounded by right players he would be an asset - I agree with those who say him and Penn wouldn't work well together due to lack of pace, but he started a lot of games in league 2 last season and is also a leader on the pitch.

It's down the club and management to sell Wrexham FC to them and then hope our wage and contract length is competitive with our competitors. I also think a lot rides on whether Tranmere go up or not. If they go up a lot more Norther based players come available. If they stay down then a lot of Northern based players will wait and see if they can get interest from Tranmere. I just don't get at this early stage why so many expect us to have made signings. Players will be on holiday, mulling over their options etc.
Good point about the pulling power of Tranmere in the region. Hope they are promoted, as FGR is a much nicer place to go to.

I liked Russel Penn. Thought he was the type of character we needed at the club. What's Kyle Storer up to?

Penn impressed when he first arrived but seemed to deteriorate quite quickly. Good luck to him though, one of our better players this season but not hard really

I liked him personally and think he would stand out with better players around him.

Saying that, in some games he was pretty woeful and many on here don't seem to rate him so we will see I suppose.

It's a blow if Keates wanted to keep him and he's chosen to move elsewhere though.

If it's a case though of wanting to move closer to his home, then not much we can do about that I suppose.
