Perhaps he didnt fancy that and the package on offer wasnt worth the hassle of living away from home.
You can guarantee that the likes of York, Guiseley, Halifax and even Harrogate could probably offer similar packages as us.
Then why was Keates so confident he would stay?

Agree with that. We've been lacking a leader on the pitch since Keates.

Perhaps he was unaware of any offers from other clubs?

Perhaps he didn't think he could get Disley? Only released yesterday and next day the deals off? 2+2 and all that....

With Mills we know why players didn't say. He was a pissed up mess of a manager. So let's find out why he opted out before assuming it's something we have done wrong.
Overall I'm talking, not specifically about Penn. I trust DK by the way. This isn't a slur on him at all.

Last summer was a disaster I know, I'm also aware that it was Mills fault.

But we do struggle to retain our better players, this needs addressing in order for us to achieve something. That was my point.

I get you. We have had difficulties I agree. Have a good feeling that will change under Keates.

I`m asking these questions because Penn said He wanted to stay , So what`s changed ? is it 12 month contracts as stated or a poor wage incentive ? Somethings not right is it ? .
