![]() Not arsed which wins really but if it's the Tramps we lose a derby a decent quality club crowd wise and one good home gate a year. If it's FGR then we're the longest club in this league, either way whoever don't go up the other will have more dosh than us next season.

![]() We stand to lose out on our best away day in a proper stadium and a good home derby too - so financially both clubs would suffer.
No affinity to FGR and their continued presence in this league doesn't provide much benefit for us. Having watched the four televised semi final legs it's a difficult tie to call. Tranmere looked very vulnerable on their own pitch in the second leg and were without doubt second best v Aldershot - however they did what Luton did to us and with a 0 - 3 first leg lead the hard work was done. Tranmere look to have assembled a strong team under Micky Mellon but are missing a few players through injury including Jay Harris - Connor Jennings is back to his best and they have a superb array of forwards that they can afford to leave Cooke & Mangan on the bench - goals make the difference so in their current form I predict Tranmere to do it - but wouldn't be surprised whichever way it goes. The mere one week from securing a final place to it happening does nothing to make the final a spectacular with a large crowd - less than 20,000 inside Wembley for a match so important is poor - heard it mentioned that high ticket prices have put some off especially when you add on travel expenses and Wembley prices - (food & drink) - then if your a family group it becomes more difficult. |
