If we are playing Stafford Rangers why aren't we doing the traditional non-league 'old firm' set and playing Stalybridge Celtic as well?

Quite seriously, when Stalybridge and Stafford were in the same league a bunch of Celtic fans from Glasgow turned up to support Stalybridge as Celtic's game was on the Sunday. The bar takings went through the roof!

Last years pre season friendlies were dire and unambitious. Shouldn't we be playing a mixture of teams above and below us? What ever happened to the Isle of Man tournament that we went to in the 90's. I don't see any great benefits in playing Mold and Gresford. On this news, I must book some holidays for late July to avoid it all.

I can't see us playing any teams above us because all our friendlies are away. I heard Walsall and a Stoke XI were a possibility until the pitch was unavailable - maybe next year.
