Default Pick Your Kop Barrier

After the recent success in raising funds from the auctioned historic 'Back Of The Kop' barriers

We would now like to offer for a limited period, a 'pick the barrier you used to stand at' option.

We will remove, paint and rivet a plaque to the barrier ( Wording of your choice ) and can deliver ( Wrexham area only).

These are being offered at £300 each.

If interested, or if you have any queries, please e-mail fundraising@wst.org.uk in the first instance.

Please get in touch by Wednesday 31st May being the date this initiative ends.

Thanks

Why such a short window of opportunity? I'd love one but need to figure out a) How to raise £300 b) How i can get the wife to agree c) Once the wife disagrees, figure out where I can hide it!!

You need to extend the time if possible as quite a few people will want one but cant afford a season ticket plus this in the same month .

There are loads of barriers, I'm guessing the end of this initiative doesn't mean the end of barrier sales.

To spread the love of the red barriers it would be good if an engineering company with a power hacksaw could cut up sections and have them mounted on a block of nice hardwood. - A classic piece of sculpture to go in the lounge.

Imagine each numbered and sold off.

Ive still got my little piece of the old Highfield Road from the days of Jimmy Hill.

To clarify, the date stated is to state your interest, it will take a few months possibly ( depending on numbers ) for fans to show us the barrier they want, we then prepare it for delivery / collection. A small deposit when you
Pick your barrier would be acceptable, with balance payable prior to collection. We do envisage the process of this initiative taking several months to complete.

Hope this clarifies payment concerns.

We have considered a piece of the barrier to be mounted on a plinth and this will be looked into once the entire sale of barriers has concluded. When barriers are cut you do
lose every other, so there is plenty of the leaning poles left over for this.

Thanks

Looks like there will be no plans to resurrect the kop then ? or is this the start of modernising . ?

Hi redavid

It's not part of anything apart from offering fans the opportunity to own a kop barrier and raise what will be substantial funds.

The 3 back of the kop barriers brought in nearly £1,000
