Default Harrison to Hartlepool

TNS Manager Craig Harrison was appointed the new Hartlepool manager yesterday. Should be interesting how his new full time team competes in a league with about a dozen other full time teams.

For these RP' ers how thought that he should have been our manager after Mills went, it should be interesting to see if they were right and he gets Hartlepool back into the league within 2 years.

Big risk for them imo but potential for a high reward. Like you said it'll be interesting to see how he does but for our sake hopefully it's not too well.

Though part of the jigsaw was Darlington, had we gone for Harrison, I'm sure Darlington would have been part of deal, now we have Darlington and Harrison is Hartlepool , will be very interesting to see how he does on his own.
Also wether he returns to the WPL for players.

On a sidenote will be interesting to see who has who on the opening day, what would be the odds of us getting H'pool on opening fixture, as we were both each others first fixture in the start of each of our Football league career back in 1921(?), and opening fixture will be Hartlepool,s first in non league since that date. (10-1 anyone)

Wouldn't think it will make much difference to TNS....Mickey Mouse could be their manager.....They'd still walk the WPL...

Well to be fair to him with doing a good job at Airbus and TNS he has more managerial experience than Keates had when he took over here so good luck to him.

Problem is with being the TNS manager - No one knows whether your Antonio Conte or Gary Mills - the results would be the same

Be a test to see if he can cut the mustard. No longer the big fish in a small pond.

Personally i think he will miss Darlingtons experience.

Always thought he would have gone to a League Club -especially if he still had Darlington as a partner. 'Pools could do well next season and I expect them to be challenging at the end but it's a big task for a manager in his first year in this League.
Good luck to them anyway as long as they are behind us.
