Agree. Those anti- Manny Smith are hell- bent on ' deliberately' it seems forgetting his 'out of position' selection by Mills. Manny's first year was outstanding. Very happy to welcome his return.

I've got no issues with him coming back but Manny's performance dropped massively in the middle too. We could do a lot worse but it is an example of how players get an easier ride once fans have decided they're amazing, even if their standards drop.

I agree. Everyone remembers that he was pushed out of position, but they're also pointing out that his errors came when playing centre back. Examples include Cook bullying him, The North Ferriby striker dominating him, the lazy back pass vs Macclesfield, to name a few. All of these happened when he was playing in his normal position. He wouldn't be the worst signing, but I think we can get better.

Manny would be a solid signing. I for one, would welcome his return. Keates knows him, rates him, we know what he can do. Get him back 'in the building' Deano!!

Dominating rhead at our place. Keeping Norwood quiet for 3 games v tranmere. No one is saying he had 46 perfect games in his last season but he is up there with creighton for the best aerial centre half we have had whilst we have been down here. Could almost guarantee he would gobble up any long ball.

I'm all for Manny coming back. I feel safer with Manny than Tilt ( despite his potential) and Riley's fitness has been a worry, but Manny should have done better when asked to play right back, regardless of it not being his favoured position. With a small squad chances are he may have to do a job there again.

We all know that Manny isn't a talker, but alongside a leader like Pearson we will see the best of him.

I would be happy enough if he comes back but if he doesn't so be it.
He was good for the most part at center back he did have the odd few below par performances but overall pretty solid.
Keates knows his strengths and weaknesses and wants him back you can tell a lot more about a player if you play along side them so I trust Keates knows what Manny is all about.
We need to be realistic about what players we are going to get in and Manny is a known quantity and I would imagine from what I have seen of him a good pro.

I'm guessing his professionalism is one of the reasons Keates is (allegedly) interested in him
