The new years curse for Macclesfield seems to be gathering pace. Askey and the players haven't been giving interviews through the clubs official channels for some time which seemed fishy and that something was amiss. Askey had given interviews to other sources but not to anything related to the club.

And a post on their forum suggests the players haven't been paid this month:
