On of my greatest regrets was selling Anderlect away match programme. I sold it with two match ticket stubs and bumf from Majestic travel, who organised the trip. I think I got over £100 for it, but since my dad died, and he was on the trip with me, I wonder the sense in selling it. What price sentiment?

Wrexham 1 Porto 0 - attendance 4,935.

Can still see Jim Steele soaring like an eagle to head the only goal into the kop net - not sure but think the Porto keeper that night was Petar Barota who had previously played under John Neal at Chelsea. Sadly Barota died about 4 years back in his 50's. The Porto team that night were bursting with quality players.

Both Jim Steele and Jimmy Harvey left us to join Tranmere under Johnny King - it still riles me to this day of what could have been if we had kept hold of them.

My most distinct are going to the Anderlecht, Porto and Roma home games.

The lads who made it overseas will have some amazing stories to share.

The Anderlecht home game is still my greatest ever memory of supporting Wrexham. When Stuart Lee scored the ground erupted. We were also just enterting into our club period of sexy football, with our all red adidas strip. The first time we had worn adidas. And all red. The pitch was muddy, Billy Ashcroft was a colossus that night. Anderlecht made an offer to Wrexham buy him after that match and they had 2 world cup winners in their squad.

World cup winner Bruno Conti wearing black tights for Roma and standing on the wing freezing his nuts off at the Cae Ras was also another fine memory!
That Anderlecht home game was a special night, apart from the result. I remember catching the train home and then watching it all again on BBC sports night. The all red strip was special, but I thought our all white adidas strip was the best of all time, and hope that in time the club will release a replica of our first ever club strip, which was also all white

I was in that toilet too, everyone had to go whether they needed a pee or not. Caused a lot of confusion as my passport showed me as a 16y.o. with long straight hair, the 18y.o. with a perm in the seat made the E.German lady very suspicious! It got even more surreal when she looked at the guy behind me, he had a Canadian military passport showing a real buzzcut, he also had a perm! I seem to remember that the East German border guards were unarmed, it was the Americans that were armed to the teeth.

To think we can get a similar sized crowd against Southport now. I never went to the Porto game, I did go to the Roma game ( it was one of the first games I went to, I think I went to one league game prior to it )

I used to stand by the dugout, players tunnel side and watched the first few years staring right through a metal fence ( great customer service in them days, what a view )

All I remember was there was a big crowd, it was at night under the massive floodlights and their players were all massive compared to our players, not really tall just stocky as I remember.

I was hooked from then on

My all time favourite game Real Zaragoza, that game had everything apart from us going through. They still did not beat the mighty reds with 2 draws accross the two legs.

The kop was rammed that night, my rib cage ached for a week afterwards, when we scored the back of the kop went mental and I ended up about 20 foot from where I started, to a 15 year old this was as good as it got, football, mates, singing and jumping around like lunatics when we scored....happy memories.

They can't take our memories away, I hope.
Was fortunate to watch most of the early European games both home and away. First one I missed was the Denmark trip.
Drove to Rijecka, Magdeburgh, Zaragosa and had a great time with some great friends.

I recall a Separate European memories section being set up on RP that had a lot of past European memories (It was a few years ago) but had some great stories from fans who went away and those who stayed at home.

My first ever Wrexham game was against Porto. Lost count of the number of times the woodwork got clacked.
