Having witnesses most Euro games at The Racecourse the best has to be the Quarter Final home leg against the mighty Anderlecht. Can the club ever reach such heights again? Never say never.
I think it was against Sliema Wanderers of Cyprus in 1963.

Anderlecht away. Trip from Majestic Travel, reached Brussels mid mornig then spent all day in the bars with hundreds of fellow Wrexham fans, me and Wazzock still talk about this trip even today, 41 years ago, seems like yesterday

All I remember was there was a big crowd, it was at night under the massive floodlights and their players were all massive compared to our players, not really tall just stocky as I remember.

I was hooked from then on

My all time favourite game Real Zaragoza, that game had everything apart from us going through. They still did not beat the mighty reds with 2 draws accross the two legs.

The kop was rammed that night, my rib cage ached for a week afterwards, when we scored the back of the kop went mental and I ended up about 20 foot from where I started, to a 15 year old this was as good as it got, football, mates, singing and jumping around like lunatics when we scored....happy memories.
The Zaragoza home game was mental, we hammered them and it was that big keeper Cedrun that kept them in the game.

The atmosphere was incredible when you think at that time we were a promotion chasing Fourth Division side and not some big giant.

Steve Massey's celebration in front of the paddock was unforgettable!

That Zaragoza home game was bonfire night wasn't it? My parents had a bonfire party and invited the neighbours. Only one place I was going though. Superb atmosphere and so unlucky not to pull it off in the end.

Being woken by old man coming in after night shift with morning papers after draw away at Zurich with result.

Being in line with Mel Sutton headed in against FC Zurich at kop end,
sure he was just inside 18 yard line.

oh hang on think he was on 18 yard line when he headed it.......

wasn't he just out side the 18 yard box

do you know what the more I think about it I'm sure he halfway between halfway line and 18 yard box

I remember the agony of the ball inching over the line in the home game vs the outrageous cheats of hajduk split.

Not as bad as the away leg when Eddie May was wrestled to the ground in the penalty box by 2 defenders and the Ref did nothing.
Always thought that he'd been a beneficiary of a brown envelope. Similarly with the Ref at the Roma away match.

I was in Lisbon a few weeks ago - taxi driver was a massive Benfica fan (they hate Porto) - I mentioned Wrexham and even he remembered us beating Porto - it was a massive shock

My favourite euro game even though we were knocked out on away goals, we threw the kitchen sink at them
