Ollie Marx signed
Having completed his scholarship with the club, young defender Olly Marx has accepted the offer of his first professional contract at the Racecourse.
Having spent time out on loan with Sutton Coldfield Town in January 2017, Olly returned to Wrexham and was included with the first team squad on several occasions before making his debut at Barrow on 21 March. Unfortunately, he received a blow to the head late in that match, which forced him onto the sidelines for the following Saturday, but Olly was back in the starting line-up for the derby encounter with Tranmere Rovers a week later. There was no holding the youngster back and he figured in all six of our fixtures throughout April, gaining valuable experience into the bargain. Impressing both supporters and management staff, Olly has now signed on for the coming season, joining fellow scholar Leo Smith in the full-time ranks. |

Very happy with this

Re: Ollie Marx signed
Sound if he is 4th choice behind Pearson, Smith and one other.

Re: Ollie Marx signed
Very good young prospect. He looked the part in the matches that I saw him play. Strong and confident and out foxed some far more experienced forwards. Good news in my opinion.

Re: Ollie Marx signed
I'm sure he'll know that there is a chance his appearances will be limited to mainly FA Trophy games as he's not 100% ready to start yet, but it will be a good learning experience for him and training with people like Pearson every day will make him better.

Re: Ollie Marx signed
Pleased with this signing. Saw him play twice last season and thought he was well worth a contract. His chances may be limited but sure he will get an opportunity at some stage and when he does he will come into a much better team than he did last season.
