This wouldn't really be enough forwards. There's no way we should be trying to make do with 18 players full stop. That's the overriding concern really, we're signing good players but any kind of unavailability in the squad and we'll be scratching around for the next Scott Tancock or Ryan O'Reilly - a situation we should be avoiding like the plague.

Compared with this time last year we already streets ahead. The main difference being a manager who has the pride, effort and belief to succeed compared with someone working hard on a sun tan. OK, we are still quite a few players short but the foundation in place shows that we are a club with strong intentions. That may well help attract a couple of quality strikers who feel confident that they will have decent quality to support them.
