Seeing as the whole trip is about watching the team play in Portugal I'd say thats pretty significant information that's still an unknown.

for me and the group i am going with, in fact every one i know that is going don't give two hoots who we play in a warm up game,

sun, sand, beer and Wrexham FC having a kick about what more could you want yet some always turn things to a negative.....

To be fair what he's getting at (and what I initially mentioned in my post) is the concern that there's been no confirmation of a game actually being played, with worrying talk about any game being behind closed doors.

Whoever's fault this is, lack of confirmation is unacceptable.

check the other thread on this subject we have been told by the media team there is going to be a game and the team will be announced when known....

Exactly. Even if they have to play the local school team it won't be behind closed doors and there has been no indication it will be

There would be no travel partners needed if the game was to be behind closed doors.

OK can we peep through the curtains instead, people have booked with good intentions to see us play a pre season friendly but have been left wondering if this will take place given the amount of teams much further up the ladder attending at the same venue at the time. Some official update should be given either way, especially as we have spent so much money wanting to see our new squad of players perform regardless of the opposition.

I think my concern was. I wanted to go a for a few days in the sun with mates and have a laugh. The game was an additional bonus, so not concerned who it was against.

But what I didnt want was to spend 4 days in albufeira trying to avoid trouble.

If I wanted a tear up, I'd go into Harun's Kebab House in Flint Town Centre any day of the week.
