The team of 1976/7/8 was littered with greats Shinton, Ashcroft, Whittle, Griffiths, Thomas, Gareth Davies - best Wrexham team of my memory - went to every game expecting to win easily

One of my favorite goals was an Ian Moir effort around 67 or 68, Oldham in the FA Cup, were 4-0 up, ended 4-2.
Moir's goal was towards the Tech end, mazy dribble down the right wing, cut in and unleashed a shot from edge of penalty box.

One wonders what they called the tech end before the the tech was built in early 50's.

Peter Ward, Bryan Hughes, Lee Trundle and Darren Ferguson for me. There has been great players in the 25 years of watching us but these are the standout ones for me.

Since I started watching in the 1960's there is one player who stands out - a fantastic goal scoring record but an even better rapport with the fans - a pure entertainer.

When he first started we lost 4 - 0 at York City - at the final whistle ten players walked straight down the tunnel - one single player ran over to the away end by himself and applauded the travelling away support - I thought from that moment we had something special.

There have of course been many great players spanning the different generations - as a kid I thought Eddie May was actually a giant - xxxxxxxx massive mountain of a man. Blessed to have watched the likes of Ashcroft, Whittle, Thomas, Jones, Mcneil..............but for me it has to be Garry Bennett.
