Think we only had him for one season before we got relegated from the old division 2 but Billy Ronson was a good little player. Mick Vinter and Phil Bater deserve a mention too.

Growing up in the 60's my favourite players were Steve Stacey and Albert Kinsey

Tops for me over the last 60 years of watching Wrexham are Arfon Griffiths,Gary Bennett,Lee Trundle and Bobby Shinton.

Stars from my early days include Ron Hewitt,Johnny Anderson,Alan Fox,Aly McGowan,Gren Jones,Ken Barnes,Mickey Metcalf,Johnny Schofield,Roly Ugolini,Wyn Davies,Don Weston,Dave Powell,Ian Moir,Albert Kinsey,Sammy McMillan,Ray Smith.

Later came luminaries like Dixie McNeil,Dave Smallman,Dai Davies,Graham Whittle,Joey Jones,Les Cartwright,Noddy Thomas,Brian Lloyd,John Roberts,Gareth Davis,Mickey Evans,Eddie May,Alan Dwyer,Steve Fox,David Giles, and Mick Vinter.

In more recent pre-non-league years I rated Karl Connolly,Dave Brammer,Kevin Russell,Andy Marriott,Carlos Edwards,Darren Ferguson, Andy Morrell,Lee Jones,Steve Watkin,and Andy Holt.

Down in the depths my favourites have been Beast,Obeng,Danny Wright,Moult,Knight-Percival,Andy Mangan, and Mayebi.

Just another to add on - for players who actually took on opponents down the wing and got you off your seat (or in my case jumping around the steps at the back of the kop)....

The late Steve Fox - always enjoyed his trickery and pace.

He was well thought of at Newcastle and remains an hero that has worn the coveted number 9 shirt. Not bad wearing the Welsh shirt either!
There is a great book by Duncan Hamilton called "The Footballer Who Could Fly". It's named after a picture of Wyn Davies which is on the front.
If you've not read it, highly recommend it.

It is great when jimmy case can be a Wrexham legend,he only made four appearances i think they might have been off the bench.

Just to mention a few. They were great characters and exceptionally good players.
Good selection of 50's and early 60's players apart from Arfon who went into the 70's. I would add Don Weston and Alan Fox to that list.
