Given his recent record and how his form tailed off at Newport, he would be a gamble.

ICT were relegated, Boden may have a clause in his contract that he can leave for free?

I agree, however any striker playing in the conference, that we want to produce the goods, will be a gamble.

Yes and I have said previously look back over history and look at the times we have been in a financial position to bring in a striker, who had proven he could score goals at the ever we were at and we were confident he would get goals for us.

I can only think of 1 in my time - Dixie McNeil. To a lesser degree Mick Vintner, Kevin Russell, Gary Bennet and Andy Mangan.

Ian Rush too. Sadly didn't work out well at all!

It would be a big upgrade on Sean Harrad surely.

Good shout, just looked his stats and he scored more for us than I had thought. Financially we were in a good place when we bought him, altbough I think we recouped hisfee when he moved on, but Chester still did better on the deal replacing him with a younger Welsh striker Ian Rush.
