I don't expect us to sign both of them. I predict we'll sign Rhead and bring someone in on loan but I'm just guessing I haven't got a clue.

Interesting quote from Cowley about todays signing of Matt Green - "Technically he’s a really good footballer," he added. "The fact he's already played with Matt Rhead and did so well together is good for us all."

I get the impression that Keates might be talking to both with the intention of signing one.

And the other an up and coming striker, in a similar mould but has a bit more pace, with a hopefully decent future ahead of him.

Those two upfront in a 4-4-2 will give defences nightmares, especially with Mackreth and Holroyd on the overlap.

Hope for news soon...
Holroyd isn't a wide player. Can't see him playing in a 4-4-2

I can't believe we could afford Rhead and Alabi with what we have signed already! Maybe Keates has offered to both and seeing who comes back first?!

Everything is pointing to Rhead being the done deal though.

You're right - looks like Rhead is pretty unlikely in that case.

Fair enough, I always thought he was more of a wide player.

Maybe we are in for just one of them, to partner Holroyd up front.

If they do keep Rhead like he's just suggested, they would have 3 huge strikers there! Rhead, Green and Palmer...surely not
