Agree with this, carrington is good professional and decent player for this level. Seems a nice bloke as well.

Carrington is a good footballer . He is a team player who doesn't do anything too ambitious but seldom loses possession . Does a lot of running and covers for team mates who are often out of position . I would suggest that he is highly rated by his teammates .It is only when you play in a team that you realise how good some of your team mates actually are . He is a model professional and an asset to the club

However to call him one of our own is a misnomer.

Carrington appears to be the whipping boy of a percentage on RP. Yes, he is not the most dynamic of players and he doesn't score too many goals (although remember Stoke). But he always gives his all and is the steadiest Eddie we have. Every team, both good and bad, has to have a few of these unsung heroes in their line up. If we had lots of Lee Trundles and Duncan MacKenzies in our team, we would still need the likes of Carrington. Why the continued bitching?
