No just finished second and got 98 points. Any other season we would have been promoted as champions and it far exceeds any team that MC has been in since he's been here.

Tolley was the only regular starter from the players you mention and he contributed to that team with goals and was part of a midfield that worked very well. Was no big fan of his but he did more than Carrington has ever done and had an impact in games.

You can ignore the bar thats been set if you wish to but thats the reality of the kind of quality we need to even have a chance of going up.

Settling for a player because of perceived loyalty to the club is a bit baffling. Why do you think he's always the first to sign? Because the the list of clubs after him could be written on the back of a postage stamp in crayons.

Thats a great example of someone having nothing to offer to the debate. A classic example of sniping from the sidelines without having the balls to offer a opinion.

Newsflash, not all fans will just agree that every Wrexham player is great.

This is what this forum is for isn't it?

If a forum is about people repeating themselves constantly just to get their own point of view across it becomes very boring. we actually know you dont rate Carrington from many many previous posts.

I don't mind carra at all but i can relate to how philsanalki feels is probably similar to how i feel when people say something positive about rutherford - i really dont get it!!! (Also when people were speaking highly of rooney at the beginning of last season)

This is a thread about Carrington though? What did you expect?

If you want a play school type forum where we're all delighted with everything regardless and clap together you need to go on the cbeebies one or something along those lines.

We also know that people that can only summon up thoughts such as "zzzzzz" have nothing to offer to the debate, imagine threads full of your calibre of posting with "zzzzzz", they'd be a riveting read wouldn't they?

Alfei was a regular once he joined us.Now there was a limited right back.

Not many people here are saying he's amazing. But your assesment of him seems pretty over the top. Ultimately I'd like us to sign a specialist right back who offers a little more but I can't think of any time Carrington has let us down significantly.

Your constant berating of him is just a little odd. Particularly when there have been far worse players in all the time he's been here

I'm certainly not blind to the faults of recent Wrexham players and have criticized on occasions.
Carrington is by no means exceptional but is also not a poor player.
He's the type of player that most teams at this level need, generally reliable and reasonably versatile, can fit into a number of positions without being over exposed.
You are not going to see MOM performances from MC but he certainly won't get less than a 5. Yes he's an average player and won't set the world alight , apart from his moment of glory at Stoke, but I don't think he hides.
It's not a bad thing to like a club that you're at. I doubt he's a top earner.
Loyalty is overrated in football, money generally talks but he must like it here. pretty sure he'd find another club at this level fairly easily if he was released. Obviously the managers we've had or have have been conned!!!

Carrington is steady and reliable.

But he is not Promotion winning calibre, unless better players around him raise his game.

I see him as a squad filler this season if he is going to be played in midfield, same as Rutherford.

But in all likelihood he will be RB as we still haven't had a 'proper' one since Obeng.

They must be like Gold dust.....
