UEFA Futsal Cup record entry confirmed - Futsal Cup - News - UEFA.com

The draw for next seasons Uefa futsal cup will take place on July the 6th and will be live streamed on Uefa's website.

The Futsal club will represent Wrexham AFC in next seasons Uefa cup.

First Pot is the teams that will host and their seedings, next 4 pots are the 4 different seeds. 3 teams go to a host and play each other in a round robin over a week. Unfortunately we didnt get the 3rd seed we were hoping to have so will have a harder group. Thanks

Good luck guys - its sad that this post only gets a few posts while are trialist gets 100s.

This is huge, a team representing Wrexham AFC in the equivalent of the UEFA cup. That is massive and all the guys involved are volunteers.

It's projects like these that gives Wrexham AFC a good name in the community which gives Wrexham AFC a better chance off attracting Sponsorship!

So let's stat showing our support!!

I was talking to one of the IFA Futsal coaches in Belfast last week. WAFC Futsal team had been over there training with both Republic and Northern Ireland Futsal squads and this coach was full of praise for our team.

Yes we were in Belfast and nice to hear the kind comments.

Its the start of this project with the club and hopefully we can grow the link with the fans as we have an exciting squad, all bar 2 of the squad are born in Wrexham which is rare in futsal as its dominated by Spanish and Brazilian players.

We leave for Geneva today but will try and post details of the draw on Thursday.

just out of curiositry.. do you fund it yourselves? or is it via sponsorship etc ?

Yes totally self funding through our various projects, grants and sponsorship. The deal with the club is to use their brand only which helps us to get bigger sponsorship and also grow the game and hopefully engage the supporters. We have 100s of kids playing in all age groups, ladies team, girls teams and even mums sessions so there is a lot more to the club than just the first team. Going forward we have some exciting plans that could benefit both the football and futsal club
