I hate it as well. The best noise after a goal is the crowd going wild. When we beat Chester 3-0, Jennings pen celebration was drowned out by zombie nation.
It also annoys me when the announcer talks over "wrexham is the name" when the players come out. Drowns out the song and flips up any chance of the fans joining in with it to make a bit of atmosphere.

I'd rather not have any goal music at all.

The music played at the Racecourse tends to be a bit crap. I'd be more inclined to go in earlier if it wasn't.

Just please please please drop "yma o hyd" from the pre match buildup! It kills the atmosphere completely and sounds awful!

Half the problem is you can hardly hear it in the Tech End.
Some matches we seem to get it right then the next match it's as though someone has turned the volume button down from 10 to 3 and forgot to put it back up - should it matter ? well yes ? the match day experience should be enhanced to it's full potential with the music, PA announcements, and interviews at half time - great to see some of the old players being interviewed but a struggle to hear what's been said at times.
There should surely be a structured build up to the 3.00 pm kick off and sufficient volume to make it properly audible.

Remember this old Monty Python pre match classic ? fans used to sing a long to it in the days of Gary Bennett, Steve Watkin, Rockin Robin & co.

HawardenRed10: Dixie McNeil once told me during a Welsh Premier Cup Final v Rhyl that 'Yma o Hyd' is his favourite Welsh song while it was being played at Belle Vue! Hector Sam certainly played like a man inspired on that evening! For the record, it is The Scarlets' anthem!
