He was the pick of all the forwards tonight, not that there was much competition. His movement and link up play were good and he was unlucky not to score two, hitting a post and having one cleared off the line.

Brian Flynn said that about Ian Rush I recall, but although I was not able to go from what most seem to think he should get another chance.

I thought Holroyd had a very good game.

The couple of snapshots he had from range were dreadful but I think that was a case of trying too hard. Overall though you can see why Keates is willing to consider him. He's quick, strong and looks a threat from close range. He's also not afraid to drop deep and some of his lay offs were very good.

To me he looked like the sort of neat and tidy player that we have seen too much of in recent years.

Deary me. Give he lad a bloody break. He's played 45 minutes. I personally thought overall his hold up play was decent. Yes he snatched at a few but he's trying to impress and probably to hard.

4 lads ideas with all said the same. Got something to offer, defiantly worth another look.

Im just going on what I saw but I think he was nervous and tried a little bit too much. He's got something though, not sure what mind.

Unlucky not to score, good movement and can hold the ball up. Best of our forwards tonight I think, looking forward to seeing him play more.

I think if he would have played the first half rather than the second he would've scored a few
