We owned Colliers and The Racecourse. Moss and Roberts then hived them off into a separate company and sold them to a third party. They also separated the car park at the racecourse and the land behind the Kop where the flats now stand from the other assets and kept these for themselves. They then exited the club, which was left with no assets and major debts, with Moss and Roberts having backtracked on their commitment that all proceeds from the flats would benefit the club.

I would call that stealing, or asset stripping if you like. You seemingly don't agree?

For the Welsh FA to now take over Colliers, knowing as they must do the background to how it was taken from us, is to my mind quite appalling.
But thats Moss and Roberts, Colliers was not stolen it was sold legally. Moss and Roberts going back on their word doesn't change the fact it was all legal however much it screwed the club over.

Here you go Todd, you seem to be struggling to understand what stealing is:

take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it.

Stealing means taking something without the permission or knowledge of the owner and keeping it.

It depends on who you believe a football club belongs to. The legal owners, who come and go, or the supporters, who are with the club through thick and thin.

What Moss and Roberts did was to take something they had no moral right to take, from ordinary people in a town that is not exactly flush with cash, in order to line their own pockets. That the FAW can be blind to this is, to my mind, inexcusable.

The FAW reperesentative stated that a fair sum was used up in the costs of the national teams expenses in France. He also said that the intention is to create a centre at Colliers, that would be of equal standards to the south wales training base, that the national teams would use. To achieve this, they would be "knocking down the changing rooms and constructing new facilities . . . and installing 2 or 3 pitches with a full size synthetic pitch."

Any idea how long the lease is? Must be long if they're willing to pump £5m in.

Morals have nothing to do with it. It belonged to them legally and thats all that matters, this means nothing was stolen.

I agree that is was underhanded and not in the interests of anyone but themselves but that doesn't mean they stole it.

I have a lot of respect for you, but I'm struggling to understand your viewpoint on this one.
Firstly the respect is mutual. Admire the way you stood up to right-wing fascists on Off Topic political threads.
Of course Moss and Roberts did us over.No-one , least of all me (hated by both ), is disputing that fact. The point is that fans, on the advice of the WST board , were wrong to trust them. Morally they were bankrupt but they , as far as I am aware, kept within legal boundaries.
Time to move on and welcome the FAW plans?
