Default Any Volunteers For 2017/18 Fundraising Group

If there is anyone who would like to get involved by volunteering with the fundraising group for the 2017/18 season, we would love to hear from you.

This could be on a one off basis or if you feel you have a particular skill we could use, on a as needed basis, if you have time on a more regular basis, we are always busy raising funds with projects that you could possibly get involved in.

If you could please e-mail fundraising@wst.org.uk in the first instance, throughout the year we need help with the following ( This is not an exhaustive list )

Designing / producing Event publicity posters for on-line engagement.

Helping with raffles at events

Running the E-Bay account

Helping publicise and educate fans regarding Easyfundraising

Raffles On Away Travel Coaches

The Xmas raffle

Publicising Foreign currency collection

Fresh idea's that with help you could bring to fruition, that would raise funds.

If you feel you could help with any of the above, we would love to hear from you.

Diolch

Paul Smith
Lead Board Member for the Revenue Generation team ( Fundraising )

Good luck Paul. As WrexhamO says, you all all doing a great job. Please tell me though, what the difference is between a "fundraiser" and a "revenue generator" which currently features on the other WST thread? Some of the missives from on high read as if they have been written by robots!

I guess it's arguing over semantics but I'd prefer the phrase "revenue generator" or something along the lines of generating new income streams.
"Fundraiser" implies raising money for a charity rather than a business and we need to be run as the latter rather than the former.

Wrexham AFC is a business and has a Commercial Manager. WST is a group of fans working voluntarily to raise funds. My point , however , was about the gobbledegook which often passes for communication.More plain talk please.

Always found the communication from the club clear and concise. Each to their own I guess.
