Jmmy to be offered a month to month contract, see how he goes and i have a sneaky feeling the bid could be for Connor. He can score goals and fill in midfield if needed. Cook would be amazing but i cant see it.

I think we need to look further afield than Tranmere league 2 perhaps ?

Scott Quigley would fit the bill. Big no9, decent feet. Could he make the step up to the conference??

No. Lincoln manager has said he has a big part to play there this season so that's not happening.

[QUOTE=Big Jim;2051400]Cook haha give it up we've knocked back £120k from Notts County he's not for sale and he doesn't want to move, why would the league favourites sell the best striker in the league to another side in the same league? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever plus he wouldn't move to Wrexham anyway - that's straight from the horses mouth - you will be lucky to scrape playoffs at best and Cook is much better than that.

Why didn't he start the playoff final?

I'd like this happen, for no other reason that it might shut the 'WPL is a pub league' mob up.

Peterborough have a decent track record of picking up non league players. If there interested in him then they must see something in him.

Not sure who Keates is looking at tbh. If he does have cash could he be going for someone out of our league that hasn't been mentioned on here?

Notts county didn't offer 120k... they matched our offer which was circa £15k

I think Keates will surprise us with this player if the bid comes off and he is 'in the building' this week.

I am beginning to think its someone we haven't mentioned yet, can't see it being Rhead, Bowman or Jennings. And we all know it won't be Cook (lol).

Just hope he knows where the net is!

I would prefer it to be a striker... Absolutely no idea who it could be. I know Cook gets shouted about, but I can't see it. I would be happy with Quigley.

Not a hope for you this season you blew your chance last season and even though you have on paper a strong attack you are weak in defence with the old man getting slower and slower. Mid table for you lot I expect.

Cook reminds me of one of those North Koreans who has been told to say what the hierarchy want him to say, if he speaks out about what is really happening at The Tramps he will be shipped out somewhere even worse!

If we are spending money, no way should it be on a full back. A full back won't get us out of this league.

Lol, that would be funny. But unfortunately I see Tranmere winning it or at least fighting it out at the top.

They will score goals aplenty, its just how many they concede.

It would be very very stupid to spend money on a full back, especially as we have a good one already.

If that's the case then that would be the bid Keates has made. Which in turn would likely mean that Gime would still be in line for the striker space?
