I think with the signings made anything less than a play off finish will be classed as a failure this season.

One of the things I like the most is much of the spine of the team is sorted for next season too. So if we don't go up, it's not a total rebuild like we've seen in the past 3 or 4 seasons.

Yes a good point, but playing devils advocate what if one or two of those on 2year deals turn out to be average at best? No guarantees in football players who are good at one team sometimes flop at another.

An example from a higher level Torres scored for fun at Liverpool, couldn't hit a barn door at Chelsea.

As Jimmy Greaves used to say it's a funny old game.

Not gonna lie I'd be happy with a top 10 finish. We have quality but with successive squads being torn up and put back together this could be more than a 1 season job. Hope I'm proved wrong and we tear the league up this year!

Let's be honest here, well I wil be.
If, at the end of last season, we thought that Dean was going to bring in half of those he's brought in and we'd at least be competitive we'd have settled for that. It's the level and measure of the work Dean has done that has raised the bar. Fair play Mr Keates, whatever the outcome this year, it will not be possible to say you didn't give it a great effort.

Some two year deals that backfire are just the chance you take. If you want proven quality you need to make it worth their while or you're shopping in the bargain bin. Quite a lot of people a summer or two ago were buying the "keep them hungry" myth but that doesn't work with good players when teams who play nearby will offer security.

Spot on. Deano has done fantastic with his recruitment and it has all been targeted and not scattergun.

Not all players will work out and in all fairness we have been playing 2 different teams in most pre-season games.

I think we will win a lot more than we lose and we need to get our home form sorted.

First few months will be about players staking their claims and we have seen DKs attitude
