That's the end of that, then. The Council have no idea what a business case is and a masterplan is just something they dream up to get themselves re-elected - with emphasis on plan rather than action.
This sums it up, if we are relying on Wrexham council, forget it.

Why don't we consider a different approach. Let's approach Ken skates the club the council Plaid and any other interested party to devise a working group. The proposal to develop a cop incorporating a museaum, seating/ standing room for patrons of sporting events that could also be utilised as a semi permenant stage or facility for bands/ concerts etc. In theory cutting the costs associated with staging thus making the Racecourse a more attractive profitable facility. Thus providing a platform for economic development in North east Wales and enhancing the local experiences available within North East Wales.

Do you have examples of that? or is it the usual small minded paranoia?

The only North v South divide in this instance is the council's ability to get things done.

A number of us have contacted Ken Skates, regarding the issue of the Kop, a number of times. He has always said the same thing, it is down to the club to come forward with a business plan; which, let's be fair, we really haven't had the capacity to do so far, as all of our financial resources are needed for our playing budget. We are not going to get the kop re- built without contributing a significant sum ourselves, and this is something which we don't have at present. We have only just taken back the lease of the ground and last year hadn't yet sorted all advertising space, or even stadium naming rights. It is going to take a long time, unless we can get some wealthy individuals onboard or a business who is sympathetic to our cause, as we are going to need money, over and above the money which is needed to invest in the playing budget, as well as maintaining the ground as it is. Doesn't mean that we shouldn't keep the pressure on though.

Pointless having a go at Lucas as its a Welsh Gov and WCBC plus the club issue with dare I say Wrexham Glyndwr uni as the owners having a vested interest.
Lucas is our MP at Westminster and lets face it they have little if any interest in North Wales.
Wouldn't it be great if we get promoted this year then again the year after , I bet WCBC would try to get involved then and that's when we should tell them to stuff it !!
I have accepted years ago that unless you are South Wales based the Labour "up the valleys" so called government don't give a fig about us up in the north.

Has the club put a case forward?

Did the Govt approach the two sites in South Wales or did they put a business case forward?
