On paper some of his first year signings weren't bad. Newton, fyfield, vose etc were established players at this level

And that's it,99% of those who "knew",he was gunna prove a lemon,were judging him on his CV (which granted no one could have found inspiring!),but NOT on having seen the lad play.It's the easiest thing in the world,to judge someone on a few statistics,but alas,we're not all blessed with such a stunning degree of cerebral firepower,are we!.
