I think it was the fact that if they thought Durkin was better than him he must be bad. Turned out to be inspired really and I ended up thinking he was brilliant!!

Angry at the thought of signing Chalk and ended up a super fan...some things in life are always done backwards. Terrible footballer.

Ian Arkwright. Underwhelmed when I heard he was signing and doubly underwhelmed once he started playing. Never passed a ball forward from the day he signed for us. Frank Carrodus and Mick Vintner too from those days although he managed a decent scoring record, a goal every other game if I'm not mistaken. I'd have him back now.

Chalkie was not a great winger, but he was decent when moved to the middle of the park.
