There are plenty of good reasons why ticketing the MRS is a good idea. Getting a ticket from a kiosk that is virtually next to the turnstiles is hardly a big deal.
I doubt many amongst our fanbase have that attitude and those that do are really just making excuses for not wanting to go (especially as there are stands where you can pay at the gate). If you want to see a big game or event of any kind then you get a ticket. There are people in Wrexham who view the football club with such disdain that the club will never be able to do enough to get them to come.

Exactly!! If I go the cinema I want to book a ticket the day before to know where I am sitting, good view for me and the family. If I turn up 5 minutes before and am told I have to sit at the front, that's where I will sit. I wont just sit anywhere and wait for someone to tell me I'm in the wrong place!

Also, if we did not have the allocated seating we would lose anything from 525 - 700 seats as part of reduced capacity. If we ever get within a sniff of getting out of this league and attendances rise we will have a problem as this will have to be in place for all areas of the ground.

Does the issue of having a policy where juniors have to line up in one queue and the accompanying parent has to join a different queue still exist?
This happened to me and my 5 year old several years ago now and it wasn't until the guys on the turnstyle realised that no way was I going to let a 5 year old out of my sight and I was prepared to walk away that they let him squeeze through with me.

I only ask because I seem to remember others complaining about this definitely the season before last and possibly last season too.

If this is still policy then I would recommend parents buy online and either print the tickets off at home or select to pick them up from the club shop. That way you will have your tickets in hand before you get to the turnstyle and will not have to be separated from your kids.

If the person is a moron and refuses to move, get a steward and ask him politely to do his job.

The person being asked to move could then end up in another reserved seat more than once.
It must be obvious that it is easier if everyone entering the stand has an allocated seat especially as the kiosk is so close to the turnstiles.
Are the people who say they're not bothering members of your awkward old persons club?

Probably relatives of Dixienormous or other professional moaners!

Train and match ticket bought, excited.

I saw lots of tickets already bought in the Yale stand ( where you don't even need to buy in advance ), hopefully sign of a big crowd

On the flip side, it also encourages people to go. My dad's mate fly back from France to visit family and makes a handful of games and if he didn't have the option to get the ticket next to him (it's popular in the middle of the MRS) he wouldn't go.

There's more positives than negatives. Hence why it's done.

I think you also need to recognise that there are a number of 'unsavoury' wrexham fans who can make such a situation frought with conflict. I have encountered abuse (when with my son) when politely asking people to move. If this happened more than once I think my son would feel intimidated enough to dmsay he does not want to go again.

The old days of turning up, wandering on the kop, and looking for someone short to stand behind are gone (sadly)..Now we live in a computerised age, and sit down to watch the match..I mean, I'm pretty slow on the uptake myself, but even I can see the benefit of a guaranteed seat of your choice.

Let's just hope, there's a need for such a system, as more and more people want to come and watch Wrexham FC....
