This type of attitude gets your teammates' backs up and there's no need for it as he's hardly Lionel Messi

I'd hope that Keates will have a word and nip it in the bud
If there's an issue with him, because lets remember ICT fans couldn't wait to get rid, then we need two quality forwards. I hope he isnt a barry big bollock player. He can be what he likes if he puts the ball in the net but until then he needs to get his down.

From watching interviews he does seem to have a hint of arrogance.

Players (strikers in particular) can be moody individuals. A difficult position to play as they rely heavily on quality balls into them.

If they aren't getting the service they can drift out of games and this can becoming frustrating for all.

I manage a team of U11's and a few of my strikers are just the same.

Sadly Halifax fans said the same about him, I thought it was sour grapes at the time. We'll just have to wait and see.

LOL, lots of forwards do. Pretty sure Dean won't entertain prima donna players.
I think (as do my mates) that him, Kelly and Holroyd would thrive off a big target man.

Holroyd really impressed me last night. As did Wedgbury and Kelly. Rutherford did well too

Default Re: Altrincham verdict.

Last night we had Holroyd attacking the right of centre and Boden up the left of centre - more often than not they were miles apart and on the times Boden gained possession he looked isolated - was also searching for a gap in the channels and enticing through balls from the midfield to feet - whilst trying to remain onside - balls over the top didn't really happen and we looked ineffective from the flanks. Rutherford and Roberts got in some decent positions but when they put a cross in there was literally nobody in the box - it was like the flank man was 3 seconds ahead of the rest of his team mates - a bit disjointed.

Something is amiss in the last third - I suppose the departure of Gime does little for cohesion although probably the right decision - we lack height and a strong forward down the middle who can rough up or at least compete physically with the centre backs - there is limited aerial threat from the forward line.

Perhaps Massanka not being in the squad last night exaggerated the situation - we do need an alternative option - someone with the attributes of Gime but with the bonus that he can hit the target.

Here is Dean Keates post match interview - largely about the word 'obviously' with a bit of football stuff mixed in (that word is doing my head in).

Hinting he is looking at bringing another player in but no clues - not even a position which is no doubt the right way to go about business.

Enjoy.
