Couldn't post on the live thread as RP app on an iPhone constantly crashes when I start to post. Not advisable to stand on the halfway line next to the pitch with an iPad. Tempting fate. Went on Twitter a fair bit during the game though.

Someone else care to jot their thoughts whilst I pour myself a cold ginger beer now I'm back home?

Surprised to learn that the ref tonight was Nick Storer. Not just the mate of a colleague but, er, a colleague from a team working on the same floor as me. I'm happy to give your feedback tomorrow afternoon when I'm back in the office
Was the tactical problem adjusted tonight?

Have Kelly and Holroyd's legs returned and does Kelly still look like a mistake?

Was Kelly played out on the wing or in the centre?

A much better performance than Nantwich although funnily enough we created more goal scoring chances at the Nantwich game.

Stand out performers for me were Wedgebury and Kelly. Wedgebury is like Harris in his prime but better, his fitness levels are immense. Kelly is quality he has that bit of skill and creativity that you need to unlock a game when it's tight as he demonstrated tonight with a great goal shooting from 18 yards after beating a few men.

Shout outs for Holroyd, Pearson, Wright and (unusual for me) Rutherford who played well. Rutherford beat his man a fair few times to get into promising positions but his final ball is lacking, if he could just pick out a man or put a good cross in he would be a much better player.

With Mackreth to come back in things are starting to take shape. Onwards to Chorely on Saturday.

On the left but he cut inside to the centre effectively.

Marcus Kelly stole the show tonight. The guy was quality.
It was my first watch tonight of the new players. Overall we looked solid at the back and had bags of energy and movement all over the park. Holroyd was also worth a mention.
Not getting carried away however I'm quietly optimistic we're going to have a good season this year.
Deserved winners.
