I didn't go to Alty but I heard he limped off near the end, does anyone know any more?
It would be a blow to lose him for the start of the season.

It would be a disaster. It's vital that we hit the ground running this season to keep the attendances high and losing the best defender in the league when we only have a kid as a replacement won't help us at all. I think those who have been to a few friendlies would agree with me in saying a Smith - Marx partnership would see us ship a few goals.

He did take a knock but it didn't look too serious, it looked like a dead leg or a knock to the knee.
Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play at the weekend but would be surprised if he missed the start of the season.

At first he looked in real trouble but didn't look to bad when walking off. He's a quality player
