Rail links from North Wales coast towns to Wrexham are pretty good.

However, from the West Wales coast (Pwllheli, Porthmadog) etc the train connection is via Shrewsbury and takes nearly 5 hours one way.

Unlike other clubs at our level we have two significant potential growth areas in terms of fan base:

1. I have long advocated that we even change our name to Wrexham NW (north wales).
piss off!

Great idea, really hope this initiative takes off. Would be great to see more than one coach coming from NE Wales to our home games by the end of the season. Well done. And with regards to the name change, GOOD GOD NO!

I still recall the late 70's when I used to walk home from the match to Coedpoeth via New Broughton.

You would see coaches from all over North Wales parked on the hill leading up to Caego.

The potential fan base of this club is massive.

Brilliant idea. I don't know if this will affect people using the bus, but the service bus from Barmouth to wrexham is free on weekends and is until may next year I think.

Presumably this is why the focus is in the direction it is. A rail ticket to anywhere beyond Flint from Wrexham is pretty expensive though, a bus in that direction could possibly clean up if the pricing was similar, although I suppose the focus has to be on getting the first bus to work before any other options are explored.

Unlike other clubs at our level we have two significant potential growth areas in terms of fan base:

1. the North Wales region, and ideas like this one could be a start. I have long advocated that we even change our name to Wrexham NW (north wales).

2. The changing demographic in the town in terms of immigrants from the EU and beyond. A discounted ticket offer might work with this potential growth area, and perhaps a close link with Bellevue FC e.g. Sponsorship or the odd coaching session at the Racecourse with our coaches being used.
While I am pretty sure that everyone welcomes fans from all regions to the club, it should be noted that Wrexham voted for Brexit by a massive majority of 41,544 to 28,882, so perhaps the name could be changed to Wrexham BR F.C. Moreover, North Wales has long since been an area of settlement for the people of Merseyside, so it might be an idea to offer all scousers discounted tickets, to capture this potential growth market, and save the full paying rates just for the people of Wales.
Alternatively, we could keep the politics and personal ideology away from the club and focus on the things that the club was formed for- 'football'.

Saying that there is the potential to attract fans to our club from our immigrant communities is not "political" and has nothing to do with Brexit.

It does though help with community cohesion and bringing people together.

I think it's definitely something we could explore. The more people watching our club, the better.

I suggested on here a while back, that if a willing coach company from up the coast, would run a coach free. In return, that company could have a free advertising board (including televised games) free..

Don't know if that's possible, or even feasible but the more seeds we plant up there, the better..
