With the best will in the world there will be plenty of times the ball will be in the air heading for our strikers, and big centre backs can win those all day long. We need someone to win headers and also be able to hold the ball up.

Yes that gives us another option , but have you noticed we play much better when we keep the ball on the deck and that kind of play is harder to defend.

It's fine playing the ball on the floor when you're on top in a match. How many times last season did we see ourselves under pressure or struggling to get out of our own half? The number of times massanka,McLeod or white had the ball lumped up to them nod they failed to challenge or even if if was knocked into feet they failed to protect it, was ridiculous. A presence up front would hold onto it and give us time to play the ball on the floor in more attacking areas. Also since we have signed mackreth and Kelly, both of whom deliver a decent ball it would be nice to have an aerial threat in the box

Of course. However inevitably the ball will be in the sky plenty of times.

We need to push the boat out for a decent striker or it's a season of same old same old. I seem to remember ( unfortunately) the club saying they couldn't afford Christian Jolley way back, who then joined Newport, and the rest is history.
