I live in the area and have never seen any of the gates locked. Its a University so 24hr access required . Beware of Rhosddu bridge being closed until September I expect Mold road and Grosvenor Road area to be rather busy

The cost of car parking has been £3 haven't heard of an increase although the car park can get very busy generally enter from Mold Rd entrance you will be greeted by an attendant who will take your money it is then find a space in any car parking area of the university campus which can be some distance from the front entrance on busy match days, when leaving just be patient as some want to leave very quickly and will push into the queues that form

There definitely used to be a gate there, and it was locked as I jumped over it a few times.
