Don't people realise that the League rules now clearly state that we don't beat Macc. Or even score. So at least we've got the obligatory Macc loss out of the way. That can be the only reason we started Carrington instead of Wright. Midfield was the definition of static.

Dunn 1 - think he was pissed up.

Roberts 6 shite first half but second half looked fine.

Pearson 5 I know he's good but by Christ he's gangly.

Smith 4 looked a nervous wreck.

Jennings 2 - absolute toss. Useless would be a compliment.

Wedgbury 4 - could have been sent off easily. Second half much improved.

Carrington 4 - waste of a shirt in a midfield 2.

Kelly 7 - MOTM a clear class act who must despair at what he's playing with.

Rutherford 6 one of the best players today. Does his job and didn't shit himself like most of the others.

Holroyd 7 thought he was good the time he was on.

Boden 6 - he's more of a link man than a pure striker. He played well.

Subs

Wright 7 very bright and has to start next game.

Massanka 6 did ok.

Mackreth 6 didn't look 100% but he should start when he is.

First game damp squib - Lots of back to goal
Home team - but yet again no first half shots - don't get it to be honest
Bowden too deep
Tactically out thought
Don't know wether we are play to feet team or in the channels
Don't get why play Nantwich / Chorley etc season
Desperate for a striker
Roll on Tuesday

Rutherford MOTM, were you watching the same game?

His free header that ballooned over the bar and no final killer ball in the whole game!

Kelly was my MOTM once we decided to get him involved in the game. He is not a winger and needs to play more central.

Some great touches and clever runs from Boden, one that Kelly nearly got on the end of but looked like he had his legs taken from under him.

Defence was solid but worried about Jennings losing his position a bit too often, but maybe he has been asked to push on.

Wright and Mackreth deserve to start on Tue.

We won't do anything if Carrington is going to be a starter.
Kelly is wasted on the left needs to be used in the middle.
Boden will do well with someone as busy & a as quick like Holroyd but is a "lazy" striker so will never look good next to Tumba.
Tumba is an enigma, lazy & lacks commitment but then has some good touches.

All in all some positives but a lot of negatives, we need to get this 4th striker ASAP.

After all the exitment and build up I'm Really disappointed, first 10 min was good rest of first half was all Macclesfield we just couldn't get the ball and when we did we lost it , capped off by a moron behind me shouting racist remarks about one of their players totally ignored by the steward who was 3 rows down then two women kicked off with someone at back of stand which just went on and on we are the only football fans that I know who can pick a fight with ourselves they should have been kicked out . second half we huffed and puffed with no end result did we even have a shot on target and was it a penalty ? Masankas body language just shows he can't be bothered and needs to go back to Burnley he reminded me of pogba but even worse he needs to buck his idea up we now have 1 of our starting strikers injured , ref was poor linesman was poorer , jennings needs to calm down if he gets tackled ,we need a star striker and Monday we need some good news , it's only first game and team needs to gel but we need a couple of wins next week to bring crowd back which apart from the odd bell end which annoyed me was awsome

Maybe Darlington advised Keates to play Carrington in midfield. Carrington isn't a midfielder he's poor in that position

Couldn't disagree more about Massanka, thought he was bright and tried hard albeit like the others nothing really worked for him.

Went to Nantwich, Thought we wouldn't score there, same today a draw would of been a unfair result.
