Default Macclesfield reaction

Just left the game. Poor first half a bit better second. Massanka was very poor. Boden had some good touches but looks lazy. Wedbury looks a decent player. Kelly was our best player.Best team won. Not sure if their goal was deflected it was a good shot but Dunn should have done better.. Not sure why he played Carrington in the centre.Rutherfotd had a good game. Early day's though. Apologise for the dodgy spelling texting whilst walking

The ball moved like a beach ball for their goal - so much movement, not surprised Dunn couldn't get to it.

Macc wi be lower mid table, they did nothing except the freak goal. We look fine in defence, the rest looked v poor. Big improvement needed on Tuesday, hope we sign this striker and don't start Rutherford and Carrington.

Didn't think it was that bad to be honest.

We'll win more than we'll lose this season.

It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. Too many backs to goal in midfield. When we did create chances from crosses, they weren't finished. Macclesfield did almost nothing apart from the goal, which was Dunn's error. Ref didn't help. Still disappointing, but at least there's promise. Rutherford MoM for me.

Not bad when players in midfield pushed forward in the second half. In the first half wedgebury and Carrington were both playing too deep. Some serious questions though:

Why did we spend money on a mediocre right back who isn't as good as Carrington ?

Why is Carrington first choice in midfield when it's been shown on many occasions that that isn't his position ? The fact that he plays the same sitting role as Wedgebury makes this even more baffling ?

Not going to get to disheartened after 1 match, but we've got a few tricky matches coming up against sides who are likely to midway. If is't more of the same then I'll worry.

Potential is there. Wasn't expecting a win. Some great movement and link up play. Final third needs a fair bit of work. But feel fairly positive going forward.

Kelly is wasted on the wing though.
