Re: 50/50
Steve macreath gave me the money at the start of the second half. Remember it more for walking alongside the pitch and walking past the players as they came out for the second half, lucky enough I didn't miss any goals. Wrexham revival was born and the eviining leader had car stickers promoting it.

Re: 50/50
THAT Colchester match was the 6 point relegation dogfight.
Think Colchester were managed by ex Ipswich player Mick Mills - anyway I do recall being down 1 - 2 and Odin and the other gods changed the weather - wind, rain, hail - everything thrown against Colchester and we eventually won 3 - 2 under Brian Flynn - the likes of Gary Worthington and Mark Setori would have been playing for us - possibly Everton's Eddie Youds on loan and Jimmy Case. Incredible match ! Also suffered a 2 - 4 home defeat to Colchester some years later and beat them 4 - 3 with a last minute Steve Watkin header in the kop net on last match of the season infront of nearly 10,000 after we secured promotion at Northampton behind Cardiff City and Barnet - happy days. Back to 50 / 50 - do you ever get the impression some people don't understand that half the proceeds are donated as prize money and the other half go to the club ? Raffle tickets - in the Tech End we rarely see any sellers - the odd couple of girls last season or two but never a regular thing - I don't know of things would be better all round if there was a dedicated kiosk or somewhere you could physically go for either ticket(s). I would imagine to be honest the only way to sell tickets is to physically pursue people i.e. you have to take the tickets to people as opposed to people going to the tickets if you get what I mean ? |
