Absolutely, Carrington has never been any good in midfield. He was fifteen yards away from their player when he scored from the middle of midfield He may be an average full back against a poor team but he plays like a nervous schoolboy in midfield. If Deano thinks Carrington can do a decent job in midfield it is rather concerning.

Not at fault for the goal Imho.
Really ??
Highlights make it look a shocker for a professional keeper
Wasnt even in the corner - very poor

He really should be saving that. No excuses in my opinion.

Carrington done a decent job at Stoke fa cup. Remember the goal! Darlington set the team up that day! Obviously Carl has input. On team selection & player position. Give it a few games let's see hey!

Even if it did take a deflection, he's still got his hands there ready to save it yet doesn't. Bizarre

It's an important issue if he is part time. The club have never said that we have part time players and it will inevitably impact on his readiness and preparation for games. To not be training the day before the first game of the season, and then again today prior to Maidenhead, raises all kinds of questions.

Not a fair comparison - Carrington was played in a midfield 3 there which had decent balance. In a midfield 3 Carrington can do a job, but is a disaster in a central 2.

Very surprised Darlington was part of the decision to set the team up that way on Saturday...

While i agree with your post, he did fine last season and was part-time then. The fact that hes part-time makes him cheap and frees up wages for other areas of the squad. Im happy as long as he does a job, lets hope this is just a blip.

I was sat behind Dunn and it really didn't look good. The ball was moving it was a nicely hit shot but nothing special. I'm pretty certain it didn't take a deflection.

The problem Dunn had is he went down very very early. He was on the floor long before the ball got to him. It was also centre right of the goal. There was no need to dive but instead use his feet to get across. It was just a very bad attempt at a save.
