Have viewed the recording of the goal - it is most certainly scored by Manny who is shown celebrating turning from the goalmouth wearing 4 on the back of his shirt - Massanka runs across the box from 20 yards away to join in the celebrations.

Somehow somewhere the goal has been credited by a number of sources (including our own official site) to Massanka but he couldn't have been further away from the action when the ball hit the net.

Rob Phillips was getting some grief on twitter last night about him being the only one suggesting Manny got our second.

To be fair to the commentary teams they had the same view as us. It was not easy to see who scored due to the low angle of their position and the fact that the view of the scorer was blocked by a mass of players.

The announcer was on the opposite side of the pitch that would have give a totally different view of the goal - including the shirt numbers.

Please don't criticise them without knowing the facts. They work hard, many for free, to give fans the commentary. As I point out at the time when we debated who had scored. "Who cares - we're winning."

I very much agree with above - it's very difficult to identify 'some players' particularly at distance and dependent on where in the stadium the action is being viewed from - also there were quite a few players around 'the goal scorer' at the time.

Now lets be quite clear - Manny & Massanka are both black, tall of similar stature and have short shorn hairstyles which does little to help differentiate who or who didn't score - so we turn to numbers on shirts if we can for some confirmation.

In a similar way I am sometimes having problems identifying the difference between Boden & Kelly - both again similar build and height, white and with short blonde hair.

I suppose the other extreme is Wedgbury - he's different to all the other players with his redish hair and big long beard so it could be argued is far, far, more easier to identify.

Really not sure why in this thread some people feel the need to use the 'R' word over a case of what appears to be simply mistaken identity by what would appear to be quite a number of sources.
