You often hear the comment pub team in connection with semi pro football. The fact is a lot of those players are every bit as good as the so-called professionals and interestingly often just as fit. When they get their full teams out they are a match for anybody in the National League. The problems come when two or three get injured or suspended and their results tail off. A fully professional side should be very good at corners, free kicks, different tactical formations. Sadly in the last 10 years or more Wrexham have not really met the standard very often.

There won't be a great deal of difference ability wise between the best part time players and average full time players at this level. 10 years experience in the conference tells us this.
