Not sure where you get that from tbh. Limited budget perhaps but they've already knocked back offers for Moult and Chris Cadden, they sold Marvin Johnson to Oxford last season for £650k and are due a decent sell on % should he move (as seems to be rumoured as happening this window). Motherwell's Chief Operating Officer indicated back in January that last season had been the most lucrative for the club since their Cup Final run back in 2010/11.

Moult already has an offer on the table of a new deal that would make him the highest paid player at Fir Park (whether he signs or not is a different story) but none of that suggests a team in financial difficulty. In truth I very much doubt what happens with Moult has any bearing on Bowman as it's unlikely he's viewed as a replacement for him.

What I'd suggest is more likely (if indeed it is Bowman) is that any hold up would be agreeing a deal that's acceptable and also who Motherwell are looking at to add to their squad. Their manager is already on record as saying he wants to bring in another striker as he doesn't think the options he has at the moment offer enough pace.

How dare you talk complete sense on this thread !!! Don't you know it's not allowed. I suggest that you read the rules before posting again

I think I must have read it wrong. Thought he was back Tuesday and when I seen him being mentioned on Twitter as a change to make for the next games I thought they were fed up of him, which I found strange as he's probably there best player. My mistake

A lot of their fanbase are not impressed with Norwood's self inflicted suspension.

Now he is due back team selection at Prenton Park will be interesting.

Who to play up front ?

My Tranmere contacts are already claiming Alabi is crap.

Norwood, Cook, Alabi, Waring & Mangan - spoilt for choice, then there's young boy on the block Jack Dunne.

I don't really care about the scum down the road really. Any news on this striker today?

I don't expect to see any news about anything until probably the last couple of days of August.

It's amazing that the name of the club or the player has not got out after all these weeks.
