Re: Maidstone utd v Wrexham highlights video
In March 2013 Mr Allison was officiating in the Chippenham and District Sunday league... after trying his best to ruin my day out on Saturday ( the defending in the first half was another factor) I think it would be best if he returned there.... he has never had a decent game when he has been in charge of us so am not basing this purely on Saturdays effort....

Re: Maidstone utd v Wrexham highlights video
Thought it was a harsh pen, let alone sending off. So some justice done when Dibble saved well. Second goal looks a shocker from Dibble but was there a deflection. Can't see why that would happen otherwise. Likewise Carringtons first yellow wow !
Despite the ref being appalling it did sound like we weren't in it for much of the game. My first match will be at Boreham Wood who are on fire at the moment. I fear for us on this showing. |

Re: Maidstone utd v Wrexham highlights video
Had a quick look at the referee.
Sam Allison aged 36, previously a player (winger) with Chippenham Town. This has been a theme in recent years where ex players are being encouraged to become referees after they hang up their 'playing boots'. Started officiating in 2011. This same official was the ref at the Torquay United v Tranmere Rovers fixture on opening day where he sent off both Mcnulty Norwood for Rovers reducing them to 9 men too. It could be worth monitoring matches he officiates at to see if any unusual patterns arise - no doubt the National League will have raised their eyebrows to the fact he has sent off two players from the same team in two separate matches - and we are only five games into the new season. |

Obviously, the goals, penalty, sending offs referee have effected the result, and therefore the main talking points of the match..But looking at the video, we were, at best, no better than Maidstone, who I assume have no promotion ambitions.....

Quote:
I've seen similar incidents given yellows and even reds. That apart, the ref was clueless over the penalty, not even sure if he saw the tackle properly, reffing by guesswork and his interpretation of the laws of the game are, at the very least questionable. |
