Some people originally said that he had not done much wrong...!! I was at game and had clear view of so called penalty and thought at the time it looked wrong but obviously from where I was standing it was difficult to see first half free kicks that led to goals (awful defending for both it must be said) and the bookings as they were a fair way away.... Carrington simply said to the ref "You have got that wrong the rule has changed" and a Maidstone player said to Dean after the game that they could not believe he was sent off......Mr Allison is has been fast tracked to this level and if ever there was a reason to view the assessors reports and marks then this is it... but it wont happen and he will be ,like Karl Evans and probably us, in this league for some time yet

Allison was the referee last season when we entertained Lincoln City in a 1 - 2 home defeat (evening match).

The below extract taken from the Daily Post match report at the time..............

Wrexham did their best to get back into contention from the restart and after a double change by Dragons boss Gary Mills, replacement Shaun Harrad was bundled over twice in as many minutes.

But on both occasions referee Sam Allison enraged the home fans by waving on play and the official added fuel to the flames by booking the striker following the second incident.

The where similar incidents on match of the day I think one player didn't even get booked for giving away a penalty.

I appreciate he didn't get 2 yellows, but he got a yellow (32nd Min), and then a straight red later (for the pen).


So, if the straight red is rescinded because Manny has made a valid attempt to play the ball does that red still get converted to a yellow or does the card disappear completely?

Lucky he didn't book the keeper for throwing the ball away!
