Yeovil FA Cup tie - seem to think it was a night match (Friday).
It was televised as I recall watching it at the Griffin, Mold High Street.

We had a gangly striker at the time - Jake Edwards ??
Not sure if we took the lead and then it all went belly up in a 4 - 1 defeat.

It was around the time the new Mold Road stand opened as we played Notts County on another Friday night and were 0 - 3 down at half time and pulled back to 2 -3 attacking the kop end in the second half and had a goal disallowed - think Edwards was a scorer that night too.

Jake E actually played for them in that game; they tore us apart and went 4-0 up before Srmstrong snatched a consolation. I was at uni with a Yeovil fan at the time and took some stick the following day!

League Cup I think, or getting back to the original point the new infamous Caribou Cup which we are better off out of.

Norwich had a great cup run (semi- finals?) I think in 1959 -1960?

We drew them in the third round played on Jan 3rd 1961. We played very well but lost 3:1 in front of 27,676 at Norwich. The winter weather had been very severe and the game was in doubt. I remember this game as a plane was chartered from (I think) Hawarden Airport, I still have a picture somewhere.

We also reached the 3rd round the next season but lost 0:3 to Liverpool in front of 30,826 at the Racecourse.

Id give my right leg for us to be back in the league cup and the ldv or whatever its called cup.

I don't think ive been as depressed in a long time with the state the clubs in on the pitch. The last three years bar the start of Mills first season start when the football was brilliant have been depressing as hell. The worst bit is its not looking like its going to improve.
