Chatting to a friend last night we were both in agreement that if Keates struggles to get in players before then end of the transfer window then we are going to struggle badly this season and if that continues then around the Xmas period its not only going to be the Turkey with its head on the chopping block. |

Re: Every cloud has a silver lining
Hes got to do an awful lot to convince the majority i feel that this season is going to be better than last seasons rubbish. I think we all thought that things would be a lot better but the "team" at the moment are performing awful. The saga with the striker is another false dawn that will irritate many and the ongoing lack of midfield organisation beggars belief from a manger who was one of the best midfielders we have had. I am far from calling for his head but he and his staff need to start giving us some hope or by christmas as you say the knives will be out and that is the last thing we need after the succession of failed managers we have had these last few years.

Re: Every cloud has a silver lining
We played Norwich City in the League Cup (home) midweek night match.
It was about 1980 - we lost 1 - 3. Martin Peters England World Cup winner was in the Norwich team. Our full back Alan Dwyer got carried off with a dislocated shoulder type injury. |
